BARSCAPADES IN ACTION

Berries, Beans & Beer Festival

About the Festival

2015 - 2018 Berries, Beans & Beer, the drinks festival with a twist, came together because there was simply nothing like it available and very few events taking place in Crewe as organisers favoured neighbouring Nantwich.

As Offbeat Brewery we financed and took on the main brunt of the organisation of the festival, which ran for three years at the Crewe Heritage Centre. We installed and dispensed keg beers across 40 keg lines classifying them by style such as “Light and Hoppy”, “Wild and Wacky” and “Dark and Mysterious”. We also had 94 gins on optic dispense and in the last year added a rum bar. We brought in additional vendors to supply wine by the glass, cocktails, coffee and street food along with a packed schedule of local bands.

Perhaps one of the main notable points was the festival glass, one glass to serve them all.

Event Planning, Marketing, Vendor Coordination

Challenge

To organize and market a new festival concept that blends craft beer, with other drinks and artisanal coffee, with local food, aiming to attract a broad demographic of attendees while ensuring a smooth event experience for vendors and guests.

Solution

We curated the event by coordinating with local brewers, coffee roasters, and food vendors. We designed a promotional campaign focusing on the festival’s unique concept, highlighting the exciting mix of drinks and the community atmosphere. Additionally, we managed on-site logistics to ensure everything from vendor setup to guest flow was seamless. A promotional video was created to build excitement leading up to the event.

Results

  • The festival was packed out with the Heritage Centre citing it as the most well organised event they had hosted.

  • The event generated significant local buzz, increasing foot traffic to Offbeat Brewery in the following month.

  • The promotional video reached over 15,000 views on social media, driving high engagement.
